Left Right Games

Left Right Games have been popular for as long as I can remember. My first encounter with a left right game was during a holiday office party.

We played the Christmas Left Right game or Mr. Right game. When I began to search for Right Left games to play for a baby shower, I soon realized that there are left right games for practically every occasion!

However, Right Left games are sometimes difficult to locate without searching several different places. So I decided to attempt this site and place all of the Left Right Games that I find in the same place for ease and convenience.

I've even created a couple of Left Right games on my own which I will share with you on this site.

About Left Right Games

What Are Left Right Games Anyway?

It's quite possible that you've landed on this page by chance and you really have no idea what a Left Right Game is.

Not to be confused with the dice game "Left Center Right" also commonly called Left Center Left game, the left right games are gift exchange games.

Usually the game involves gifts. Each person brings a gift and sits in a circle with a group of guests. Whenever the reader says the word "right", the guest pass the gift they are holding to the RIGHT. Likewise, whenever the reader says the word "left", the gifts are passed to the LEFT.

At the end of the story (reading), the gift that you are left holding, is the one that you keep. It's really a fun game and you really have no way of knowing what you'll end up with, which is part of the fun!

These games have many names too, so when you search you may want to look up other names like Lefty Righty Game and Mr Wright Game, or Gift Game.

You have your pick of left right games in categories like:

Left Right Baby Shower Game

Probably the most popular of left right games, second only to the left right Christmas game, is the left right baby shower game. You can play left right baby shower anytime during the party, but I typically like to play mid way through the gift opening portion of the party. This way if there are tons of gifts, and there usually are, the guest can get a break an do something fun that will revive them.

Left Center Right Dice Game

Left Center Left, LCR Dice Game

Left right games aren't just confined to gift exchange games. There is also a right left game that comes in the form of dice game, called "Left Center Right" but also known as "LCR", "left center left", or "Left Right Center". It's common for the names to be confused, but the one key element that sets this left right game apart from the traditional games, is that it's played using dice and chips. It's easy, entertaining, and can be played anywhere because of its small size.

Left Right Games Are Versatile

Saint Patrick Day Games, Birthday Fun, or Valentine Day Games

Left Right Games are so versatile you can use them during any occasion or holiday. Saint Patrick Day, Birthday, Valentine's Day or even as games for Easter.

As long as you have something, be it a gift or other small novelty item for fun, Left Right Games will work. A plus when playing these types of games is that you really get people involved quickly.

As I create left right games, I will add them to this site as well. If there are particular gift exchange games that you need, let me know. Just shoot me an email and I'll see if I can help.

Here's A Left Right Christmas Story I've Used

Christmas was almost here, and Mrs. RIGHT was finishing the Christmas baking. Mr. RIGHT, Susie RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT returned from their last-minute Christmas errands.

"There's not much LEFT to be done," said Mr. RIGHT as he came into the kitchen. "Did you leave the basket of food at church?" asked Mrs. RIGHT. "I LEFT it RIGHT where you told me to," said Mr. RIGHT.

"I'm glad my shopping is done," said Billy RIGHT. "I don't have any money LEFT."

The hall telephone rang, and Susie RIGHT LEFT to answer it. She rushed back and told the family "Aunt Emma RIGHT LEFT a package for us RIGHT on Grandma RIGHT's porch.

I'll go over there RIGHT now and get it." she said as she LEFT in a rush. Mr. RIGHT LEFT the kitchen and brought in the Christmas tree. By the time Susie RIGHT returned, Mrs. RIGHT, Mr. RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT had begun trimming the tree.

The entire RIGHT family sang carols as they finished the decorating. Then they LEFT all the presents arranged under the tree and went to bed, hoping they had selected the RIGHT gifts for their family.

Now I hope you have the RIGHT present for yourself, because that's all that's LEFT of our story.....

Except to wish you a Merry Christmas...Isn't that RIGHT?

The End.
